Formativ Health, a spin-off created by Northwell Health and Pamplona, is renovating the company’s new space at 4875 Belfort Road while keeping with the safety of the environment at the forefront of construction.
During renovations Formativ has recycled 75 percent of the 30-year-old furniture and work stations and donated 33,000 pounds of carpet that would have otherwise become part of a landfill.
The company is also purchasing over 7,00 square yards of Ecoworx Carpet Tile which contains about 40 percent recycled content and the carpet itself is 100 percent recyclable. Purchasing Ecoworx also eliminates 40,000 pounds of landfill consumption.
In January, Mayor Lenny Curry along with Northwell Health representatives held a press conference highlight the 500 jobs coming to Jacksonville thanks to the healthcare company. Northwell said the company hopes this partnership with the city of Jacksonville will grow in the years to come.
“We want our base to be here in Jacksonville. We are going to create a patient access center here. Hopefully, that will only be the tip of the iceberg,”said Northwell Health CEO, Dennis Dowling at the press conference earlier this year.
Formativ provides a one-stop-shop for patients navigating large healthcare systems. Northwell Health is a health system with 21 hospitals and over 60,000 employees.
